When you trust me with your words, you can rest assured that they're in safe hands. It's more than that, though. I love every text I work on as if it were my own. From now on, your brand is my brand. Say hello to your new biggest fan, loudest cheerleader, proudest ambassador. I'll know your brand inside out. And I mean inside out. I'll understand your values, vision and mission. I'll believe in them too. Think of me as the newest member of your team. You know, the one that speaks English.

Courageous creativity

I have a way with words. And getting creative with language is my happy place. Boring old literal translations aren't my thing – I leave all that to the machines! You don't want to end up sounding like everyone else because you're not like everyone else. We both know that and we want everyone else to know it too. If you want the best results, you need to be bold and different. That's another thing we have in common – I'm not afraid to think outside the box and try new things either.

Life's for learning

Any other perfectionists in the room? Only the best is good enough for me and that's good news for you. I never stop striving to be better and do better. That means I'm always learning and perfecting my craft. You can never give me too much information – I want to know everything there is to know about you and your brand. Obsessive organisation

Being organised is my superpower. You'll probably notice this as soon as we start working together. You can count on me to be ever-so-slightly over-prepared for our first call and we'll take it from there. When you spot my neat and tidy workspace in the background, just know that reflects me and the way I work. I'll never let you down – I just couldn't do that to you. Your English content will land in your inbox earlier than expected. And just wait until you see what I've done with it.

What you see is what you get with me. I pride myself on my honesty and I always stay true to myself. You should also know that I'm passionate about giving back to the translation community and contributing to the profession. I'm the Vice-Chair of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI), the UK’s membership association for professional translators and interpreters, and the Coordinator of my regional group, the ITI East Anglia Network. I'm not one to show off, but I also won the ITI Mentor of the Year Award in 2023. Yay me!
